A few simple generic actions can drive big savings for your company's buildings and equipments… You can adopt them on a daily basis and over a period of time to reduce your energy consumption and optimise your company's energy performance.

  • BUILDING - INSULATION

Diagnose the energy performance of your buildings and check the quality of the insulation of infrastructures such as the building, the roof, and the detection of thermal bridges

  • HEATING

    • Set up the right temperature: 19°C for occupied rooms, 16°C outside periods of occupation, 8°C if the premises are unoccupied for more than two days. Because 1°C less means 7% less heating consumption
    • Close the shutters or blinds at night, to maintain a good indoor temperature
    • Check seals and door closers to preserve/maintain the temperature inside your premises as much as possible
    • Clean and maintain the filters of your heating equipment (production and distribution) to optimise the life of your equipment and guarantee the quality of the air in your premises
    • Maintaining your boiler regularly to ensure it operates properly and extend its life also helps to avoid a potential increase in energy consumption of around 8% to 12%
    • Insulate pipes carrying thermal fluids (hot water, heating, ventilation)
    • Clearing the heating circuits (purging your networks) helps to avoid a loss of efficiency of around 17%. Installing a sludge trap can provide a more durable semi-automated solution.
    • Review the possibility of installing a centralised and automated control system of your heating to reduce energy waste by up to 20%
    • Install a heat recovery unit on your cooling unit to supply your heating circuit
  • AIR CONDITIONING

    • In the summer, the ideal temperature in your premises is 26°C. Increasing the temperature by 1°C to reach the set temperature allows you to reduce the annual consumption of your equipment by 5 to 10%
    • Set the temperature to a maximum of 4°C less than the outside temperature, without falling below the set temperature of 26°C
    • Do not open the windows when the air conditioning is on
    • Clean filters and maintain your equipment regularly to optimise its performance and extend its life
  • VENTILATION

    • Stopping, when possible, the ventilation in the unoccupied parts of your buildings can reduce your energy consumption by up to 50%, otherwise regulate its flow according to your needs
    • Clean and maintain your ventilation filters to guarantee the air quality in your premises
  • LIGHTING

    • Regularly dust bulbs/lighting to maintain their performance and increase their lifespan
    • Switch off the interior lighting of the buildings as soon as they are unoccupied and reduce the exterior lighting
    • Review the possibility of reducing the light intensity of your area and make the most of daylight

  • HOT WATER

    • Reduce the use of hot water unless essential
    • Produce hot water outside peak consumption periods in the morning and at the end of the day (depending on your tariff)
    • Limiting the temperature of hot water to 55° prevents the formation of scale while eliminating any risk of bacterial development
    • Regularly check the piping in your premises to identify and repair potential leaks
    • Regularly remove the limescale deposit in your boiler to avoid over-consumption
  • EQUIPMENTS and DEVICES

    • Completely turn off your devices after use by avoiding standby mode. For example, a computer in sleep mode uses 20%-40% of its power consumption
    • Implement a digital sobriety approach, for example by limiting the sending of large attachments in your e-mails
    • Replace the oldest equipment with equipment with better energy performance
  • COLD

Review the possibility to install a security system that can report any malfunctions including breaks in your refrigenation system
